Peer Review of Teaching

Peer review is available for any faculty member who would like to have their course, classroom or clinical teaching reviewed by faculty peers.  We provide a standardized peer review with an emphasis on constructive, formative feedback.  The process involves a collaborative conversation among peers and can generate new ideas for continuous improvement of teaching.  Peer reviews can also be used for annual review and/or promotion portfolios.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Request a review of your course, classroom or clinical teaching - Contact Charlene Erickson - csericks@umich.edu

  2. Follow the simple process using the review form (links below):

  • Peer review of online teaching (course review) process, form

  • Peer review of lecture/small group/seminar teaching process, form

  • Peer review of clinical or preclinical teaching process, form

Once you have been reviewed, consider becoming a peer reviewer!
